For Moms

Being a mom isn't easy, we get that. We can help.

The Healthy Beginnings initiative is bringing an evidence based framework to the Champaign-Urbana community. You’ll meet with an experienced nurse you can trust, before and after your baby is born. Every 1-3 weeks, you’ll meet with a nurse right in the comfort of your home.

That’s where building your relationship with the nurse starts. Once enrolled, we will work with you and your family to help bring the healthcare and support you need. As you continue to grow in parenthood, we will provide resources that fit your individual circumstances and develop our relationship together.

Who can participate

The service is free. It’s for moms in the Champaign, Urbana, and Savoy area who are first time moms less than 28 weeks pregnant and moms with other children who are pregnant.

Healthy Beginnings is about building an ongoing relationship with a nurse you can trust. Our goal is to help you create a positive life for your family.
